Kanniya hot water spring, magical creation of the nature can be visited while your stay at Skandig Beach. The east coast is well known among tourist for its long unspoiled beach. Eastern shore is excellent for beach volleyball, diving, snorkelling, fishing, boat riding and all sort of water sports.

 

Fort of Triquillimale or Fort Fedric, is a Portuguese fort built in 1624. Then later Dutch has renovated while they were ruling the country. Now a historic place and also the entrance to the Koneshwaram temple which is located on the edge of Trincomalee. Most of the historic buildings has been preserved for visitors to see.

 

Lovers leap another notable place located in close proximity to Skandig Beach resort. One story says, lovers who doesn’t have the parents approval to get married, comes here to jump into deep sea from this place thinking that they can at least die together.

 

Any given day is for dolphin watching, but if you want to see the biggest living mammal on earth, March to April is the season. Note Indian ocean is not a calm ocean. If this is you first time or you tend to get sea sick, we advise you to take seasick medication about 1 to 2 hours before getting into boat.
